Am I kidding myself...
Yep! You sure are! You're kidding yourself! This is the Impostor Syndrome aka feeling like a fraud, maybe like you're not good enough, you doubt your skill set or abilities.
If you keep telling yourself that; you will eventually begin to believe it!
Today we are talking about the dreaded impostor syndrome. Most of us go through this! It's how our brain's way is hard-wired to protect ourselves. Our brain is designed to protect us at all costs, and if you get an icky angst-like feeling, guess what?
It's completely normal! It has taken me years for me to figure this out! I still work on this daily.
The way you talk to yourself in your own head or out loud is so important! This is the most important relationship you will ever have in your life, the relationship with yourself! So, give yourself some grace.
I bet you give your friends and family grace all the time. We are so nice to the people we love, admire, & respect, but sometimes we can be the biggest bullies to ourselves with negative self-talk.

Big Changes 2020
Big Ideas, Big Goals, Big Changes 2020
At the beginning of 2020, we all had goals we wanted to achieve. Let's face it! 2020 has thrown us a lot of curve balls!
My goals still have not changed, but business is evolving and will continuously evolve.
My personal and professional goals have not changed, however, the plan to get there has.
I am still a digital marketer.
I can still build websites.
I still optimize websites and social media pages.
In December of 2019, my goals for the next year were laid out. We hit the ground running in 2020!
I am going to make more money this year! I'm going to add to my skill set!
I'm going to use all of my online knowledge to further different business ventures!
I still have big plans!
I never thought I would become a home school mom! When life throws you a curve ball, knock it out of the park!
That is my most challenging change is having the kiddos home 24 hours a day! So you have to have big plans to keep them busy!
I will be expanding my reselling business. It has been a lot of fun earning some extra cash on eBay.
I will be expanding my marketing business. I will be putting up a new website for promotional products. I will be posting it here first.
Another Advertising Seminar
What I learned from attending a marketing seminar for local business.
I recently attended a seminar for local marketing. When my schedule permits, I make time to attend these events. Anything I can do to hone my skill set I do. I love to learn!
I attended knowing these guys were just trying to up sell me, yet I wanted to know what knowledge they were willing to share about the advertising marketing industry.
Most of the information was relevant. I mean they are "experts" of the industry! So here goes:
1. Make sure you have an email link on your website!
I agree 100%!
If your potential client can not reach you! They will move on in this fast paced world!
2. Make sure you have a mobile friendly website!
I go over this here! This is so important! I can't reiterate this enough!
3. Offer a unique selling proposition.
This is a no-brainer! Customers like feeling like they are getting a good deal!
4. Customer service is key!
If you don't have a friendly phone person, it can be detrimental to your business. A rude person can break your business, leave a bad review. Tell all their friends about their bad experience! It's like a horrible domino effect!
*If you have had this happen to your business, and have weeded out the "bad apples." There is a strategy to fix these negative reviews against your business. We can set up an appointment to come up a strategy that best works for your business. Give me a call, or if it's easier shoot me an email!
I was baffled to hear this person suggest only using one avenue of advertising! I found this method completely crazy, but again in their defense this media company was only wanting you to choose them for advertising.
So, as I sat there feeling uneasy because the information these business owners were being told was completely one-sided! Only choosing one avenue of advertising is a huge risk!
When you have a marketing budget, and you spend money, do you see results from your advertisement campaign? Sadly, most of the time, you do not see the results.
Learning how to set up and track your marketing plan can seem overwhelming!
Some business owners would rather pay a big media company to handle it all which can be fine, unfortunately you're just another number paying them for services they may or may not do.
Set up an appointment with me, we can talk and see what strategies could work best for your business. Then, we can begin to gather data on what works and does not work by tracking each avenue.
Every business is different, and I believe having multiple avenues that can be tracked is one of the many keys to success!
